• What we store: the messages you write, the photos you send, reactions, and the time messages were sent and read. Photos are kept in private storage that only you and your partner can open.

• Who can see it: only you and your connected partner. We do not read your chat. We only look at a message that you or your partner report to us (we keep a copy of a reported message while we review the report and for 90 days after we resolve it, even if the chat is deleted or an account is closed in the meantime; then we delete the copy), or when the law requires it.

• Typing indicator: the "typing…" signal goes live to your partner and is never stored.

• Deleting: you can delete your own messages and photos at any time, and they disappear for both of you. When you disconnect from your partner, the whole chat and all its photos are permanently deleted for both of you. When you delete your account, your chat and photos are deleted too. Photo files are removed from storage within a day in both cases. Deleted chats cannot be restored.

• Notifications: if you allow notifications, a new message from your partner can show on your lock screen with a short preview. You can turn message notifications off in Couple → Notifications → Messages, or all notifications in your device settings.

• Reporting and ending contact: you can report any message from your partner to us (press and hold the message, then choose Report message). To stop all contact, disconnect from your partner in the Couple tab, which ends and deletes the chat.
